the mistral table was originally designed for the tasting area of the wine importer of the same name. the compact space required small tables, and arthur casas proposed a central metal base with a beveled top, allowing the tables to be pushed together seamlessly. the design proved to be not only ideal for the original setting but also versatile enough to serve a variety of uses. we now produce the model in sizes ranging from dining tables for up to six people to small side tables.
