This coffee table was designed in 2008 by Arthur Casas for an apartment located on Vieira Souto, the avenue that borders Ipanema Beach in Rio de Janeiro. Its design resonates with the graphic elements of the iconic Portuguese stone pavement created by the landscaper Roberto Burle Marx. The hand-painted tiles feature four specially developed colors for this piece, including a shade that mimics the blue of the Rio de Janeiro sea, and they are fired in high-temperature kilns. In addition to the tile option, the Vieira Souto table can also be made in glass or marble.
