graphic patterns are traditional expressions of various indigenous peoples of brazil, seen in body painting, basketry, and ceramics. the graphic motifs of the kayapó people from tucumã, pará, are characterized by fine, precise lines placed close together, often applied to fabric as well. women are responsible for learning and passing on this tradition. in this collaboration between kayapó artisans and studio objeto, we sent linen fabrics for pillow production, and the paintings are done using acrylic paint.
