Mies is a tropical homage to Mies Van der Rohe’s iconic Barcelona chair. Created by Arthur Casas for the now-closed Kaa restaurant in São Paulo, this armchair maintains the relationship between the angles of the seat and backrest that make the Barcelona chair so comfortable. It also features a lower height and an X-shaped structure when viewed from the side. However, in Mies, stainless steel and leather are replaced by solid wood and rustic linen, both meticulously crafted by hand.
