arthur casas has a fascination with designing amorphous shapes — those that, in nature, have no fixed or stable form. it takes many attempts to achieve the ideal contour, as if capturing the perfect moment to freeze something alive and ever-changing. the tea and coffee cups are a result of this exploration. their amorphous handles are surprisingly comfortable, with the perfect angle for finger placement. handcrafted in high-fired ceramic, the cups come with matching ceramic spoons. the saucers are made of wood and treated with tung oil, which ensures resistance to moisture.
