mies is a tropical homage to the iconic barcelona chair by mies van der rohe. created by arthur casas for the former kaa restaurant in são paulo, the armchair mirrors the angle relationship between seat and backrest that makes the barcelona so comfortable, along with its lower height and x-shaped structure when seen from the side. in the mies, however, stainless steel and leather are replaced by solid wood and rustic linen, both crafted by hand.
