gica is a freestanding, independent bed—like many that have been made throughout history, yet curiously hard to find in today’s market dominated by box beds and built-in cabinetry, a fact that has always bothered us. this piece can be placed away from the wall and even function as a room divider for a side table or desk. the headboard is removable and features the same solution as our plug product: a male-female structure connected by technological plugs, the kind used in airplanes, cars, and trains. this enhances both finishing precision and long-term maintenance, as the front panel can be easily disconnected and its fabric cover removed for washing. compatible with mattresses 20, 25, and 30 cm in height.
